Available for download, the Slate Repeater Delay is a plug-in offering delays and echoes for pro-audio applications. The plug-in leverages technology developed by D16 to give you discrete echoes, subtle ambient spacing, modulated echo effects, ping-pong delays, and more. Use the Repeater on vocals, guitars, drums, and other instruments.

The Repeater models 23 delay units, including analog hardware delays and famous digital pieces. It offers linkable controls over the left and right channels. You can change the delay time, the feedback level, the direction of the repeats, and the tone of the effect.

Sync the delay to your Host DAW’s tempo if you like, or tap out your own on the Tap button. Drive the input stage for more character, and widen the delay over the stereo field with two different spread types. Mix controls are also on hand, so you can blend wet and dry signal on a left/right basis. Many different presets are available to get you started.

This plug-in is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats. iLok 2 or 3 is needed to run Repeater.

Multiple Delay Types

Repeater offers 23 delay types to give you various flavors of echo including special effects such as pitch, telephone, and vintage tape. Whether you want a noticeable delay, a subtle wide space, or a vintage slapback, Repeater has an option.

Variable Stereo Image

Repeater’s Spread selector helps you create wide stereo delays with the touch of a button. Just choose your delay note or millisecond value, and then Spread can automatically deviate the delay lines by either 10 or 20 ms and automatically pan the delays left and right. Spread can help you utilize the Repeater’s delay tones to make complex soundscapes.

Color Control

Push your delay tone forward or bury it in the mix using the Color control, which can also act like an upper-midrange frequency filter. Additionally, you can customize your delay with high-/low-pass filters. The plugin utilizes an input saturation section before the delay engine so you can easily acheive a wide variety of warm tones.

Analog-Modeled Feedback Circuit

Engaging the Analog button sends all of the repeats back through analog-modeled circuitry to further enhance the gradual dimming and degrading of the sound as the sound decays. The Analog button makes the delay tones melt into the mix. It’s particularly suited for use with guitars and vocals.
