Available for download, PSPAudioWare PSP PianoVerb2 is a creative resonant reverb plug-in for use in production and mixing contexts. The software is a redesign of the original PianoVerb, with updated features throughout, such as a resizable GUI and new tools for preset management.

The reverb itself aims to mimic the behavior of piano strings by putting the wet signal through 12 separate resonant filters. At modest settings, this kind of reverb can give you a clear, resonant, and highly dimensional response similar to a piano sitting in a wonderfully tuned acoustical environment. Indeed, it can help disguise sampled pianos and make them more believable in the mix.

But you can also tweak parameters within the plug-in to leave the natural world for realms of creative sound design. You can transpose the 12 resonant filters and detune them. You can also modulate them, change their width, and apply high-pass filters to them. All of this can transform a rather tame element into something wholly esoteric.

PianoVerb2 is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It will operate in AU, VST, AAX, and RTAS formats. An iLok account and the iLok License Manager application are required for operating this software, though the iLok dongle itself is not required.
