Orb Trumpets from Musical Sampling is a proof-of-concept release that is created entirely out of performances with a resulting fluidity that is compelling to say the least. The Adventure-style programming requires no keyswitching; and as a starting point, for quicker notes, you’re going to want to play within the 1 to 100 velocity range, while for longer notes, the 101 to 127 range provides a slightly broader attack. Tuning was lightly done to taste instead of destructively tuning it with software, this allows the sound to retain natural biases in intonation up the range and with dynamics, pulling in the more squirrely notes and resulting in a more natural temperament.
