A dual high-pass / low-pass filter offering the aggressive tones of a classic ’70s Japanese monosynth. The module’s uniquely raunchy sound totally transforms the overall tonality of Voltage Modular. The high-pass and low-pass sections can be used in series as with the original instrument, or as two independent filters, or mixed together in a number of ways; and there are extensive CV inputs for parameter control. The VCF-20 Filter is based on an original instrument with the coveted Version 35 filter and has been painstakingly reconstructed to sound accurate. The ESP-20 Processor recreates the slightly bizarre and endlessly useful External Signal Processor section of the classic MS-20 synthesizer. The Frequency To Voltage converter analyzes incoming audio and generates matching voltages for controlling oscillator pitch and envelope amplitude. This lets you play the Voltage Modular by singing, playing guitar, or any other monophonic signal source. The ESP-20’s frequency converter has a much wider range than the original for increased functionality, while still retaining the quirkiness of the original.
