FOOTSTEPS is practically a whole rack of shoes compiled into one single outstanding playable KONTAKT 5 instrument. This instrument comprises the sounds of boots, dress shoes, high heels, leather shoes, and sneakers. BOOM made accurate recordings of paces on all sorts of different ground: wood, concrete, gravel, metal, sand, and even parquet flooring. In addition, we added a lot of generic sound layers that can be easily added to the mix. Those layers include sounds of cloth, leather, metal, grass, water, and snow.

The collection also covers the fact that BOOM’s physical equipment supposes an amount of two feet, so the sounds come to you as distinguished by side and gesture: footsteps heading to the right or left, slides, stairs, and tip or heel, or full loading or relieving moves. All in all, BOOM recorded more than 22,000 different samples.

Just play the steps on your keyboard in sync to the picture and that’s it. For those who don’t have a full version of KONTAKT 5 by Native Instruments, BOOM is included a set of WAV files of all kinds of shoe-surface combinations.
