Built for DJs, drummers, producers, and soundtrack composers, Ujam Beatmaker 2 IDOL is a software instrument doubling as your personal real-time drum-track creator for producing the bright and hyperprocessed sound of K-Pop beats—just like the ones in countless chart-topping Korean pop songs. To keep the good feel coming with clean and polished drum samples, Beatmakers Idol offers 10 professionally created kits with 16 drum instruments each, 460 patterns organized in 20 Styles with 23 ready-made patterns each (for a total of 460 patterns), all waiting to be fired off and arranged using your MIDI controller in real time.

Choose from 12 Mix settings and boost the intensity of your beat using the Amount knob. The Juice function punches up the lows and highs and adds multiband compression and EQ. Optimized for live arrangement and mixing, Beatmaker Idol takes advantage of Ujam’s simple yet powerful macro controls, allowing for dynamic and tonal tweaking on the fly.

Make it Shine

  • Take the precision and hypercompression of pop music and dial it up to 11. Carefully trim the tail of every sample and keep the releases tight. Editing samples to get the perfect K-Pop sound can take hours—with Idol, everything’s already done for you.

Phrase Drag-and-Drop into DAW

  • You can now drag phrases like intros, verses, or choruses straight from the interactive UI keyboard to the Beatmaker instrument track of your DAW. This opens up a slew of creative options.

Mix Section with Beat Intensity

  • The Mix section features a set of 12 Mix Presets, optimized for K-Pop grooves.
  • Use the Amount knob for thumping lows, smooth stereo widening, slap delay, EQ carving, and many other processing methods rolled into 12 Mix presets, allowing you to transform the sound of your beats in moments.
  • Use the Beat Intensity control to make quick changes—e.g., to adjust energy levels between your verse and chorus.

Special Control: Juice

  • The proprietary Juice control punches up the lows and highs with multiband compression and EQ for a clean, dramatic sound, with a gentle stereo spread to neatly tie everything together and add some excitement.

Master Section for Sound Processing

  • The Master Section processes the stereo output of Beatmaker, excluding the Instruments you’ve sent through Individual Outputs.
  • It offers one-knob saturation, a loudness maximizer, an Ambience selector, Sweep dual filter, a Maximizer, and more.

Individual Audio Outputs

  • With individual outputs, you can route any instrument or channel from Beatmaker to separate channels on your DAWs mixer.

Studio One Integration

  • Exclusive Studio One (v4.6.2 and later) piano-roll integration: The names of styles and drum elements are displayed on the keys of your piano roll to help you find the right styles and drums faster and easier for your track.
  • The scale range of the styles and instruments are highlighted with a red line on the left side of your piano roll.
