Available for download, the Overloud Choptones Fried Lilbox Rig Library is a selection of guitar amp and cabinet emulations for use with the Overloud TH-U platform. The amplifier, cabinets, stompboxes, and microphones were emulated by Choptones, a company known for its models ported to multiple platforms.

This particular expansion library recreates the sound of a Friedman Smallbox 50 amplifier, which delivers 50W of pure British tone from a USA-made amp. The amp offers two switchable channels with individual gain and volume controls, giving you a plexi sound in one channel and a furious Friedman tone in the other.

Choptones has modeled this amp in multiple configurations, using a wide array of cabinets, microphones, and stompboxes. You’ll find 149 rigs offered in total, captured with Shure, Royer, Beyerdynamic, and other microphones used. Multiple cabinets have been utilized from Marshall, Soldano, Mesa Boogie, and more. Many distortion pedals have been modeled as well.
