Sporting an intuitive and realistic interface designed to make you feel like you’re playing a real analog drum machine, DreamMachines provides you with everything you need to take your drum samples to the next level, including mixing, layering, and virtual analog sound processing.
DreamMachines features six voices, which can be routed to six separate outputs in your DAW or to a single stereo output. You can easily control pitch, decay, and filtering, as well as automated crossfading for smooth sounding hi-hat transitions and low or high tom drum sounds. You also get velocity sensitive pads for triggering your sounds, plus comprehensive EQ and FX processing for each sample.
What is It?
DreamMachines is a drum sample pack that can be used in MDrummer and the dedicated DreamMachines MSoundFactory instrument. The sounds have been sampled from a wide range of drum machines and analog synthesizers, including vintage classics, modern FM, and hybrid synth/samplers.
Ideal Applications
Drum machines are used in a wide range of genres, particularly electronic music. DreamMachines contains an eclectic range of samples, so it can turn its hand to almost any music type, from vintage to modern. It especially excels at ’80s synth-pop, hip-hop, and EDM.
The Library
DreamMachines contains nearly 500 samples, including over 100 kicks and over 150 snares, rims, and claps. The library also includes hats, cymbals, toms, and various percussion. Over 100 presets total for both MDrummer and the MSoundFactory instrument let you get started with an almost unlimited number of sample combinations to fuel your creativity.
FX Section
The instrument features a powerful FX section inspired by vintage analog processing. Each drum voice has dedicated EQ, compression, and tube saturation FX with an independent send level for delay and reverb. They also feature pre- and post-FX gain controls, letting you not only mix the levels but also decide how much to drive the tubes and compressors. All voices are then mixed and processed through the master FX, including shelf EQ, glue compression, and a brickwall limiter.
