The Colorsound Tremolo Plug-In Software from Martinic is a digital recreation of the venerable Colorsound Tremolo pedal created by brothers Larry and Joe Macari of Sola Sound. Modeled after the tremolo setting found on the VOX AC30 tube amp, their 4-transistor circuit offers a distinctive sound popular with a wide range of artists including Green Day, Joe Bonamassa, and Phil Manzanera. Unlike the original, which only allowed for a mono input, this plug-in version allows for stereo inputs and processing.

Two modes are supplied, with one recreating the sound of the 1974 model and the other emulating the effect from the 1996 version. Choose from 16 different presets and adjust parameters including volume, drive, speed, and width. Lock the clock rate to your DAW’s tempo using the sync button. The software runs on DAWs that support the VST2, AU, and CLAP platforms.
