Eventide EQ65 Urei 565 2-Band EQ Plug-In
On Sale
Ideal for weeding out problem audio frequencies in challenging program material, the EQ65 plug-in from Eventide is a comprehensive recreation of the analog Urei 565 filter circuit, sporting dual notch and bandpass filters for precision fine-tuning of audio signals. Using the In/Out switch you can activate the bandpass filter to identify desired or unwanted frequencies, and then select the notch filter with its ultranarrow Q to attenuate or boost these frequencies.
Along with the 2-band EQ functions, this plug-in includes depth control and selectable 36 dB per octave high- and low-pass filters that feature manual frequency cutoff selection for further surgical refinement of audio content. You also get several special effect and instrument-specific presets for quickly producing ideal outputs for a range of applications. This plug-in is available in 64-bit AAX, AU, VST2, and VST3 plug-in formats for macOS and Windows computers.
Notching Narrow Band Coherent Noise
It is often helpful to select the peak mode to help zero in on the target frequency. You can audition the filter’s effect using the In/Out switch. Signals with significant harmonic content can be attenuated by combining the pair of notch filters. Set one to the frequency of the fundamental and the other to the most prominent harmonic. If additional harmonics are present, you can gang additional instances of the EQ65 and tune the additional notch filters to the higher harmonics.
